Traditional wood having high natural
durability and other desirable properties
are becoming scarce and as such the
use of alternative non-traditional woods
has become very common. Bandarhola
(Duabanga sonneratioides) is one such nontraditional
timber species which is available
in large quantity and is being used in an
increasing rate in various types of light
constructions. However, like most wood
species of Bangladesh, it is not naturally
